That only serves to underscore my point. Anyone, anywhere – even in America – can still get away with Anti-Americanism. We don’t move on words. That’s partly for reasons of principle – we do believe in freedom of speech and opinion, after all – and partly for reasons of practicality. We don’t have enough bullets to shoot all the people who say nasty things about us. As for the Liberty, there are links on this thread to recently declassified papers that clearly show it was not intentional. Are you saying that these papers were so deeply classified that not even the chairman of the JCS or the Secretary of State – both of them have publicly stated that they believe the attack was intentional – could see them? That must be some classification. One wonders why the Government would be so eager to hide documents that provided inconclusive proof that they’d been telling the truth all along. Governments usually hide the stuff that contradicts their statements. Go look for them if you need more evidence. More evidence than what? You haven’t presented any evidence at all, except for repetition of the general principle that since Israel can do no wrong, Israel cannot have done wrong. Why don’t you post these mysterious papers? You’re the one who needs evidence, at this point. I’ve posted quite a bit. The only way that you can believe what you claim to believe is if you believe that the entire surviving crew of the ship is lying, or if you believe that they are subject to some collective hallucination. Fog of war won’t cut it, because during the repeated visits by Israeli recon planes before the attack, there was no battle going on.
