Steven you are living in a libertarian fantasy land.

And it's a wonderful fantasy land. I agree with the principles. But it is just another Utopia. Just because it is "my" Utopia doesn't mean I'm going to let myself be seduced by it. Steven should know better.

The 20th century was plagued by smart men with grand Rationalist ideas that we could create a perfect, rational, planned human society. If only we overturn the institutions that evolved over tens of thousands of years, we could have Perfection on Earth. So these men, who knew what was good for everybody, created Hell on earth trying to destroy Religion, the Family, heirarchies of class, wealth, and ability. It is "vanity".

We have our own Commissars in the States. Some of them sit on the bench.

We don't have any specifically guaranteed right to smoke tobacco, either. That doesn't mean that legislation outlawing the smoking of tobacco would be constitutional.

I don’t think it would be. I think the Government has the right to restrict the use of tobacco to the extent that an impact on the health of others can be medically demonstrated. I wouldn’t support a ban.

the same left wing politicians that are pushing for gay marriage are voting to outlaw tobacco smoking.

That contradiction is their problem, not mine. I don’t see why I should defend a view I don’t hold.
