81 was bad in a lot of sectors as Volker squeezed out inflation. but oil was in the last stages of its boom.

I didn't know that.

What exactly happened? Why did TVs move to Japan?

Why wouldn't this happen with the PC box makers too (but to China), now that the PC industry has gone consumer on us? Your thoughts?
