Time alone will tell. Right now the Repubs are nervous and scrambling to collect dirt on Kerry. They were forced to change course since they were doing the same thing on Dean.

It wouldn't surprise me if the dems pulled a NJ Toricelli move at the last minute, long after the nomination -- Yanking Kerry because realizing he's unelectable and substituting.... Hillary.
