Re: do you think that the dynamics will change if Bush drops Cheney

Cheney is a liability to the elites behind Bush today. He's proven to be too much of an ideologue. I'd be surprised if he stays on the ticket.

Rudy Guiliani and John McCain are both being groomed for the eventual replacement of Cheney.

Replacing Cheney will be good for a few percentage points in the polls, and possibly in the election itself. Guiliani has a ridiculously positive rating in the polls, considering the chicanery he was involved in in covering up and disposing of the physical evidence from the 9/11 tragedy. His role in thwarting an honest investigation into 9/11 is not known among the American public. Instead, Guliani was able to ride to emotions of the public after that event and capitalize on the fear among the populace.

McCain remains an enigmatic figure. He's been displaying cloying and undeserved obeisance and brown-nosing lately to the Bush juggernaut. He's testing his popularity on the stump (with Bush's approval and Rove's encouragement) in primary states.

So, both of them are running for the VP slot today.

Both will help the ticket.

And I find both to be dreadful choices because neither man exhibits the least bit of integrity and/or honesty.
