Kerry is a self-made person. Bush is not. He carries the name of his grandfather, his father and his father's close friends. He serves as his father's and his friends' proxy. That I think is the fundamental difference.

During the debates, we will be in a position to see this clearly. Kerry can think on his feet. Bush needs to be coached.

I know Kerry personally. Tough as nails but a really nice super intelligent guy who doesn't miss anything. frankly, Bush doesn't have a chance against him.

You're right about Kerry, the trivial well-spun BS GOP attacks won't stick. Kerry is already showing a lot of teflon. He's also attracting many Republicans to his side.
Bush is in trouble. Problem is, this scares the Bushies making them say or do anything to try and reverse the trend. That means big-time lies, slander, abuses of power, whatever.
