Remember how Bush rode into town in 2000 with his record as Texas Governor. He soon realized that State politics is very different from Washington politics.

Opposing the Iraq war at the outset does not fly with the public. Else Kuchinich would be the front runner today.

I still don't know what Dean is politically. One thing I know for sure and that is like Bush he miscalculates things resulting in disaster.

Fiscal prudence is not spending 40 million in Iowa. This is similar to Bush expending his military up front and running out of steam later to fight the ensuing guerilla war.

Rather than knowing what to do, one is better served knowing when to do. Remember Dokakis in a tank with a tie on. You don't do those when you are 17 points ahead. Dean is amateur at politics at best. There is always a reward for political savvy.

Get off the Dean hangover will you? You remind me of the Bushies who 6 months after they moved into the White House were suffering from the "Clinton hangover"

My first encounter with Dean was in January 2003 when he addressed the State Democratic Party convention where I was a delegate. I do not have to form my opinions from reading the press only. I have heard the man in person.

At that convention he did not tell us that in Vermont he is required by law to balance the State budget. He did not tell us that he balanced the budget by robbing Peter (senior programs) to pay Paul (those below 18). He is a panderer. Wants to pander to the gay voters by refusing to release his papers "to protect gay rights". He is a panderer when he say he wants to appeal to the Southeren voters who fly the confederate flag. He is a hypocrite when he tells the Iowans to vote for him and then you find out hard taped evidence that he was derogatory of the Iowa caucuses. He is a panderer when he introduced his wife instead of standing up for the right of his wife to privacy.
He talks against special interest and then ends up hiring Roy Neel saying that he was college professor in the final 4 years. Reminds me of Newt Gingrich and his excuses.

At least now we have Dean down to earth, hoping he will be on the ticket as VP. Come down Dean. Have your head on your shoulders. It is risky to have your head in the cloud. This is the Democratic party. We don't annoint. You have to fight for it. That is why pandering does not work.
