Welch: "I don't believe the job growth numbers. Obviously self employment is undercounted. This upcoming election is going to be a repeat of 98, our economy is booming".

SOFTWARE services firm Mascot Systems Ltd expects its largest client General Electric (GE) to grow its relationship with the Indian vendor in offshoring efforts even as GE has earmarked massive outsourcing efforts to China, top Mascot executives have told analysts over a post-earnings conference call.

"GE is committed to offshoring... there will be continuous growth", the Chief Executive Officer of Mascot Systems, Mr Gerhard Watzinger said.

GE accounted for close to 51 per cent of Mascot's revenue for the financial year 2002-03.
