He didn't recant his charge. All he said was he still doesn't remember ever seeing GW show up. Same thing he said before. Trouble for GW is that no one else ever saw him show up either, and GW is someone you'd remember with his famous father and all. GW clearly went AWOL and this supposed "recant" is nothing of the sort. All it shows is how little evidence the GOP has in order to save GW's butt from four years of mandatory KP duty he still owes the Army.
