I said last week that they risk a total "about face" in G-7
they need to limit the acceleration downhill for the US$
but they cannot risk a complete loss of credibility
in Oct Qatar G-7, they essentially green lighted the FOREX boys to pile on in US$ selling
they could not issue a statement for them to reverse

the real jist of the new strategy is for the Bank of Japan to allow a move to parity SOON SOON SOON with the jyen

the US numbnut officials will talk with satisfaction of such a development
they will not even anticipate its consequences
HIGHER ASIAN IMPORT PRICES

what starts in Japan, extends to Korea, Taiwan, and eventually China

get ready for late 2004 and all 2005, higher Asian import prices
it has begun
it will not stop
it will (in time) show up in CPI goofy index
unless they wash it out as a "one-time event"
imagine, the collapse of hthe USDollar as a one-time event
