Mephisto, I guess if I keep repeating it, it will finally get through. The Americans are fed up with Bush and want to vote Bush out. They don't care whom they vote in because anything they vote in is better than Bush. Even in the South where they have voted on religious and social issues, cannot afford that lixury any more because they are hurting without jobs and healthcare. And they all feel that Kerry is the best one to beat Bush. He may have voted for Bush 70% of the time. Does that not apeeal to these people.

A thinking, however convoluted it may be, but none the same a reality. It is disapponting to see Dean not get in. But at least we can feel good to see Bush go. Otherwise go and have 4 more years of Bush, end of Row v Wade, a stronger Patriot Act, have your kids drafted to fight the war on foreign lands so that Cheney and his cronies can fill their pockets and get fat, they take the jobs overseas (India and China is booming) etc. etc.
