<<So could you support a family of four on 20k a year? Johannes said he could do it on 10. That is why I said he was full of crap.>>

I could, no problem. No satellite TV though.

I wouldn't have a family of four on 20K per year.

All my energies would be focused on working hard
to improve my value in the job market. I wouldn't
even be going out on a date if I only made 20K per
year (so I CERTAINLY would not have a family).

"That is why I said he was full of crap."

I say you said he was full of crap because you were being a condescending as*hole. It appears (in this instance at least) to be your argument. A personal attack on someone IS you argument. Pathetic imo.

Could I do it? Maybe, but my wife would be pissed. I think I can survive (and prosper) in America no matter what job conditions I face. It does not appear that you can (or think many others can either).

I hate the condescending know it all attitude. I am a bit of a know it all myself (I have been told), but I have great respect for what humans can achieve. I don't look at them as helpless pathetic souls that need handouts to survive.
