Kerry's heroism in Vietnam will make a big difference in this race. Gore chose not to bring up bush's spotty service record because gore himself was fudging on his service...However, now there is a conflict, men are being killed, this country needs a real hero, someone who has seen combat and served his country. That would be Kerry or Clark or whomever. Additionally, bush has lied repeatedly and his service record and lies about it will go against him. Yep, there's a lot to pile on these guys, but when playing with folks as dirty and low and scummy as bush and cheney, 'the more you can slam them with their despicable record of chicanery(cheney never served)the better it is to beat the rightwing crap out of the heads of those who still think Saddam launched the events of 9/11. BTW, WHATEVER did happen to bin Laden? the guy bush was going to hunt to the ends of the earth. I wonder if bush's interview with russert is over, and whether we'll see a whitewash on Meet the Press tomorrow or President Bush self-destructing...if there's truth in reporting we will see the latter!!!!!!

Coming from you, that's the equivalent of earning a Silver Star. Pretty easy to do in your Navy. Do you know that with Kerry's three Purple Hearts, he lost a TOTAL of 2 days of "work"? Not for each, but all three together. Women get more maternity leave than that for delivering a baby. Why doesn't Kerry open his records to public scrutiny? But that's not the end of it. Then, he used the obscure "thrice wounded" rule to get transferred stateside. But that's not it, either. Then, he got an early discharge so he could run for Congress. Sounds like Kerry was gaming the system, to me.
