Treason is betrayal of one's country, like whomever outed the CIA agent (Wilson's wife) or being an enemy spy. Same difference. I suspect Cheney's office outed the CIA agent and we can expect either the usual coverup or an indictment. But Bushies never scapegoat anyone unless they tell the truth (firing Lawrence Lindsay for telling us the true cost of the Iraq war) so somehow I doubt we'll get justice on this until Bush-Cheney are out of power. In 2005, we may see major indictments of the Cheney gang.

When Anne Coulter calls half the country who happen to be Democrats "traitors" it can't be taken seriously, yet it is a crime against America too. Not a literal crime, but a crime of venomous thought and heart. As we know not a single right-wing leader has ever even been in combat while Kerry and others have done us proud. Let's just say there should be a special level of "hell" somewhere for Coulter and anyone else who slandered and attacks our war heros, regardless of party preference. Parties are of minor consideration compared to true patriotism, courage and sacrifice. We have seen such attacks todayon these threads, calling Kery a "murderer" for his Nam combat service, yet failing to criticize GW Bush's failure to show up for a whole year of mandatory military service in 1972, rather defending the lies he has told us about his going AWOL.

American traitor, have you fought for your country.

I did.
I protested the Vienam war.
Damn proud of it too.
Too bad more did not do so and sooner.
Would have saved tens of thousands of lives.
