John Kerry is a major proponent of strict controls on former Soviet stockpiles. He's been personally involved in this grave task. GW Bush has never even mentioned it and has harmed our working relationshp with Russia over Iraq.

If you know anything about new mafias, you know they sell arms, much of it from former Soviet stockpiles. Why has that got nothing to do with terrorism when the Chechens and Osama are in cahoots? (As opposed to Saddam and Osama who were not in cahoots.)

Don't you see how dangerous the war on Iraq was in terms of taking resources away from the real threats which face us? It was a reckless and dishonest war, even if it has some positive consequences up the road. I doubt they will be worth the cost. Since there was no imminent threat it really doesn't make any sense as we had Saddam in a tight secure box. Also, the president should never lie to the American people ike Bush and Johnson did about their respective wars. There was no need for Bush to rush into Iraq. It was all political and about grabing and privatizing oil. At least that is the only reason that makes any sense.
