Psalms 119:165 Great peace have they which love thy law:

The Words of Christ:

And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife,
except it be for fornication, and shall marry another,
committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put
away doth commit adultery.

John 15:14 Ye are my friends, IF ye do whatsoever I command you.

This is an example of pure untaught ignorance that has crept into the church teaching today.

Hebrews 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after we
have received the knowledge of the truth,
there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

Some Hebrews were going back to sacrificing according to the law to cover their sins after they were born again. They had received "the knowledge of the truth" aka Jesus Christ, but after that when they sinned they were trying to cover those sins according to lawful sacrifice. They did not understand that all their sins were forgiven, even those they had not committed yet.

Paul said that

there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins

because they had already received their salvation. Nothing could be added to their salvation in Jesus Christ. His sacrifice was perfect. No more sacrifices were needed or could add to what Jesus had done.

after we have received the knowledge of the truth

Jesus Christ

So read again:

Hebrews 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after we
have received the knowledge of the truth,
there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

For if we sin wilfully

If we willfully sin

after we
have received the knowledge of the truth

after receiving Jesus Christ

there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins

there is no additional sacrifice possible to cover those sins (they were attempting to cover those sins through lawful sacrifices) they needed to go to Jesus with those willful sins in true repentance, not go back to the law to cover them.

Paul's point is that their forgiveness is still in Jesus and His sacrifice, not in the obsolete lawful sacrifices. They did not understand. Didn't Jesus say some would say the old wine was good enough? Paul is telling them the old wine is NOT good enough anymore.

These passages are some of the least understood and most abused in the New Testament. That the untaught DISTORT to their own ruin.

><>...Paul was also a sinner!...><>

You asked:
Are you completely insane?
Not completely.

I do not deny what Paul wrote. But if only the words of Jesus were recorded and practiced.....We all would be a lot more seasoned and Christian.

Evil Ploy?...Come on Brian give me a break.! So now I have some evil ploy on my mind because I accept Jesus's preaching's over Paul's.....and remind people of the love and forgiveness of Jesus....Hmmm, evil ploy.
Evil ploy, because I accept That Jesus forgives sin....Evil ploy!?

You people who advocate sin under grace are anti-christ in spirit
"You people?" Thanks Brian. That sounds very brotherly. Catch a lot of flies with that expression.
Advocate sin?
anti-christ in spirit..WOW Brian you truly are a hard core case.
Is that what I did? I don't think so. Not by a long shot.
I was advocating forgiveness...As Jesus preached.

Then you said this...so contrary
I sin - I am forgiven - but I uphold Christ's Law as all true Christians have always done
No one can do both....Sin and uphold Christ's laws!!

Again Brian you are playing God when you say such things like;
That folks is true Christianity without which no one will be saved

Again I say, I am truly glad that you are not God!

Jesus is my saviour...Not Paul!

Have a good evening
Shalom...><>
