No big deal. MA is an interesting and charming state. Very ethnic, and parochial.

In MA, ethnic groups tend to stay in the same homogeneous towns and communities they established 100's of years ago.

Not at all as "diverse" and "homogenized" as you would expect.

Do you ever watch "Emeril" on the Food Network? He's typical -- always talking about his Portuguese community roots in Fall River, MA.

I studied law in MA, and learned that in the common law among the states, there's frequently a majority rule, a minority rule, and a Massachusetts rule.

Not only is MA not mainstream America, it takes pride in being out of the mainstream. A la Michael Dukakis and John Kerry.

The MA Supreme Court underscored that just last week, commanding the MA legislature to enact legislation regarding gay marriages.

The rest of the country believes in separation of powers.
