Oh, but it is, it is... just so long as none of the various viewpoints line up with what the Americans are saying at the moment. That is the important point to remember.

This is a complete self-serving, brown-nosing crock.


Well, I've lived in France, and you can say that again in spades, and I don't see anything to make me believe it's any different in any of the other countries on the continent. Unless of course a steady dose of anti-Americanism the likes of what you find in that left wing rag, Le Monde Diplomatique, is someone's idea of "rigorous analysis".

One thing television in France does have is a greater place for basic international news than here, but I can do without the stupid anti-Americanism you sometimes find. The most pertinent criticism of the US still comes from within the US, even if the mainstream media is on average really dumbed down - which is no conspiracy, but a normal consequence of advertising driven marketing (and an "average IQ of 100" ?)
