Let's see...Bush goes on national TV and says that his approach to fiscal responsiblity is the right approach and that his plan will reduce the deficit in 5 years...so pray tell why his own elected party members are taking his policies out to the woodshed for a trashing???

Yoy just hit on a very important reason why the Bushies have been able to do so much damage. More than a few Dems (like Joe Lieberman and Tom Lantos) basically support the Bushie foreign policy even if they differ on domestic issues. The neo-con war party unfortunately includes both Republicans and Democrats

Bush also lied saying the WMD commission was due to report in 2005 because Bush wanted them to take thei time and get it right.

There can't be a lot of people that believe that one. Fortunately for us, the President is a pathological liar of monumental proportions. The more he lies the more the electorate will be motivated to vote him out.

I imagine that after the interview, Bush asked Karl..."How did I do?"

Karl: "Great, Mr. President";
Bush: "I thought so too, we should do more of these."
Karl: "Yes, Mr. President."
Bush: "What's your plan for the rest of the day."
Karl: "Mr. President, I thought I'd go home and get stinking drunk."
Bush: "Before you go, make a note of that trick question ...Was it a war of necessity or a war of choice? He threw me for a loop on that one...we'll need to do some additional prep on that."
Karl: "Yes Mr. President."
