In this cash is trash, zero interest rate, crack-up boom environment these new ETF launches have the potential of emptying tens of billions more out of cash and money market accounts. It will be an easy and preferred way for folks to hold and hoard gold (real value). It's a big deal IMO. I think the way to trade this is load up on GLD, and hedge it with some short Eurodollars just in case the Fed ever actually defends against the crack-up. In fact, maybe both the long gold ETF and short ED would work.:
