Yes, Orthodox Jews with no macho appeal are not good national candidates. Either are 5'7" guys from very liberal states with mo military cred (as we found out with Dukakis). The reaosn Kery can beat Bush is that all these sleazy charges that he's weak on defense, etc will fail. Symbolically they are trying to EMASCULATE him. But that is impossible with Kerry. Not only is he a hero, but he's still a stud even at 60. It's pretty amazing actually. I don't know how he does it. He's even got all his hair. gg

Yes. I also noticed in the interview that Tim Russert is much taller than the President, and I believe Kerry is taller than Tim. I remember reading a study of the heights of Presidents since the advent of television, and there was a very strong correlation for the taller candidate. Another clear Kerry advantage that strongly differentiates him from Bush and Dukakis. Kerry should exploit this by getting right next to President whenever possible.
