There are some activists in one of the tribes. Don't keep up with it much anymore. The most recent event over the name came about when a wealthy former Dakotan donated millons to build a new hockey arena. He previously donated large sums to the university. The tribes got into a snit again about the Sioux name. And , of course, the weak-kneed administrators and professors were willing to roll over. So the guy said, you want the money? You keep the name. Guess who won? $ talks, BS walks.
