<Jerks are those who accuse war heros of being murderers. you've hit on precisely why many veterans groups oppose Kerry. His Winter Soldier investigation and testimony before Congress in essence called his fellow servicemen murderers and brutes. His claims were later largely debunked. He did it all as a means to begin his political career. "jerk" is probably not a strong enough term for that kind of behavior.
