The report calls for a "dramatic increase in funding" for telling America's story. There's the "tell." It's State Department types looking for bucks. If you can't show a problem, you don't get more money. I was thinking about the dislike for our country by the world media and elites last night. 911 increased it among the Muslim Media, of course. They secretly look upon Osama as "Robin Hood." But the major world wide dislike of us has always been fostered by the world wide left. No conspiracy, just "birds of a feather." We are rich and successful, and they envy us. It's right out of the opening sequence of Julius Caesar." The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, but in ourselves, that we are underlings." For us to be so successful, we must be "exploiting" them. And they have Marx to back this concept up. So they pound that in their media to their people. Their Leaders, who for the most part are autocratic and anti-market, are very happy to have this POV pushed. It takes the blame off them. They are aided and abetted in this POV by our left, who publish articles and lecture worldwide pushing this POV. Every time you read about Chomsky, he is lecturing somewhere overseas. The overseas media doesn't have to write articles telling their people what bad guys we are. They can just translate articles from our left and publish them. It's rather humorous to expect the State Department to run a program defending us overseas. They are mainly leftists who agree with the criticism.
