Sad state of affairs when Powell is the best this administration has to offer, Sig .... many who are natural allies of the more respectable goals of the US will be quite aware of P's role in the coverup of My Lai, then later in touting the cause of Reagan's goons in Central America .... where he had to be aware to some degree of the nature of their actions in making and prolonging that 'war' ..... here's a site with a lot of policy stuff on it, i think you need to subscribe to actually read the documents, but this gives an idea of what's available - nsarchive.chadwyck.com
nsarchive.chadwyck.com
nsarchive.chadwyck.com - home page

Also - gwu.edu

It was spitting in the eye of the Rest of Us for Bush to hire so many crims from that filthy little 'war' .... [edit] - and he knows it, look, he is keeping related documents sealed - cougar.ucdavis.edu

'If we need a new President, Kerry is the man.'

Bingo .... Kerry gets a lot of respect for having the guts to tell it like it was, in re Viet Nam .... a human being and therefore flawed, no doubt, but unlikely to hire an Abrams or a Reich [one would hope]
