:-)

FWIW I thought of some other employees who do that - my friends who work in public interest law spend their own money on stuff, but, like teaching, that's an avocation, rather than a stictly-for-money occupation. Nuns and priests, too, dedicate their lives and belongings to their organization. I'm sure there are some other folks, but not MANY folks.

Heck, if the statistics I've read are correct, most folks are ripping off their employers by using their computers for personal stuff (wasting both empoyee time and computer time), by stealing office supplies for personal use, and by massaging their expense accounts.

"Do you have problems reading and quoting more than one sentence??"

Considering that your mindless dribble seems to gush from an endless spring, I am not surprised to find it continuing out of the blue.

As I said: her statement was boastful and self serving. And it was a rude attempt to elevate teachers above all the other caring and compassionate people whom give freely of their time, money, and labour. If it was meant to be merely arrogant rather than insulting and ignorant, it could have ended with a simple boast and left off the comparison to all other professions.

The implication that she (and teachers) are better people than those in "all other professions" is one that draws a justified response of censure. As for you...go back to your schizophrenic dribble that nobody reads! Your demented postings are more suitable for roosters than for people. And I apologize to roosters everywhere.
