Yes I do remember. He got up somewhere around Rio Vista in fresh water.
And I understand Cougars are making a come back in general. Hunting here has been on the decrease, leaving more deer for more lions. And people like homes backed up to open space, for the view and privacy. For mornings when they can see deer grazing on a near my hill or eating the roses in their front yard.
Push nature far enough and it pushes back. Which I find strangely comforting in knowing it's still a bit dangerous for the unaware.
