In 1972 we badly needed to cut defense spending.
So too did we need to cut it in 1988.
We may need to cut it again in the future as well.
defense spending is not all good. Remember $500 toilet seats and the 850 million buck Sgt York missile boondoggle?

Collosal amounts of deficit financing are now going into defense. At a certain point it needs to come back down.
Kerry will kep us strong but not squander our money on unnecessary Bush programs like new nukes and deploying SDI before it's tested.
