RtS, seriously - VIX options have several advantages: 1. the CEO cannot steal shareholders' money 2. earnings are never in doubt 3. analysts won't provide estimates 4. there is no competition to eat VIX' lunch 5. in a bear VIX spikes are so steep and short, they make a much lower VIX a week later a certainty 6. VIX will never be asked to help reconstruct Iraq 7. VIX does not make campaign contributions 8. the dividend will never be cut 9. hackers cannot harm VIX 10. there will always be a VIX Gottfried :)
