Shadowman--There's a difference between exchanging points of clarification or sharing answers to questions we may have. What we do not want is a full-fledged bomb lob of a debate where the object is to hurt the other or make the other feel badly. What's desired here is a polite discourse, an honest attempt at understanding a point of view. But do know that I appreciate your sensitivity. I really do!

shadowman, Lots of potential for abuse. US politics is a sea of pork for all. No party is innocent. The US system assures pork for all. The British system has pork for those in power and a fat free diet for those out of power.

That is the main flaw in US politics. Vote trading = pork spreading.
Great need for a secret ballot, so elected officials could vote their conscience and pork connections can be cut.
