Contract manufacturer Jurong Tech reports 96% jump in full-year profit Tuesday February 10, 12:17 PM SINGAPORE : Electronics contract manufacturer Jurong Technologies Industrial Corporation almost doubled its full-year net profit to S$27 million. Revenue rose 36 percent to S$534 million. The rise in profit is due to strong hard disk drive demand for use in devices such as game consoles and digital media recorders. The company also benefited from more new models being launched for handphones with colour liquid crystal displays, and for networking and PC peripheral products. Going forward, Jurong Tech expects this financial year's performance to be even better than in 2003. - CNA
