Yeah, I noticed that too. You could just see the little broke teethed gears whirling in his head when Russert asked him that. It finally struck him that necessity meant he had to and so he guessed that answer. I'll bet Karl was holding his breath when Junior asked for clarification.

TIME FOR A LITTLE DOWN HOME DEMOCRACY HERE ON SI.

Here's the facts. 96 members of SI have bookmarked this thread which is going to be the best tool for investors in the next four years. Leaving George Bush in office is going to be a catastrophe for retail investors. We ought to at least have our own self interests in mind here. After all, with few exceptions (who shall remain unnamed LPS5) no one on SI is on the sell-side of Wall Street here.

But we all know that there is a scoundrel in the White House who is completely and utterly whoring for the schemers on Wall Street who bankrupted a significant percentage of the SI membership in 2000-1.

Why should the thread that pays obeisance to the destruction of retail investors, the President George W. Bush thread, have 450 readers while the thread that works to improve the lives and opportunities of retail investors (i.e. this thread) has only 96 members?

Are SI members kinda, well, not willing to let their minds overcome their prejudices?

We have one "contributor" (ROTFL) on this thread who posts for Bush. "Blow-hard", as I call him in my kinder moments, isn't exactly the sharpest knife in the SI drawer. What makes these people tick? Thinking certainly isn't it.

What can we do to increase the readership of this hot thread where honesty is the key cement to all we say and do? And what can we do to curtail the traffic on the President George W. Bush thread to the point where only the lunatic fringe of SI even bothers to go there and bore each other with their lies and really lame writing?

How can we get SI to think? Can each of you contact one friend by PM and ask them to bookmark this thread?

Clearly, George Bush has become a national embarrassment. Isn't it time for SI to come together as a community and admit the obvious? The Emperor Has No Clothes, And His Best Pose is Deposed!
