Amy, I know you don't agree with my POV on these labor issues. But that doesn't mean I am a liar. I just see things differently than you do, I think you are buying all this McKinsey dogma which is false. Notice I have never called *you* a liar.

I don't have a "real agenda" other than for this economy to improve and stop the slide to banana republic-land. We know the wage divide is growing again after contracting in the entire decade of the 90s. All this problem with capex is related to jobs. Thats why I focus on jobs. And I don't like the government using the "technology" excuse because technology hasn't created US job losses for years, this is all offshoring (unless you include the internet as a communications medium). I prefer honesty in government vs. cloudy "distruths".

The reason I bring up Linux is not so much because I am invested in it, I find it interesting that "free market" disciples gnash their teeth against free market trends that don't result in more wealth for the few. Linux and open drug markets are two examples of those. Linux helps compaines with lower costs, it helps engineers locally with more employment- the only people it **doesn't** help are the executives making fortunes off of large offshore coding farms.

You might want to call up Lou Dobbs and make your case as to why Microsoft is not really a huge offshorer. He devoted an entire show to it one night with former microsoft employees interviewed, the whole thing.

Her arguments are illogical. Assuming you are dealing with a sane person, illogical arguments always indicate a hidden agenda. She needs Bush to lose. Bush may lose if the economy is in trouble, or the recovery can be portrayed as benefiting the wealthy.
