Yes, Chinese Yuan is critical for that region. All of those countries depend on export to support their economy. No country in that area is willing to appreciate their currencies until China makes the move. Therefore, it will This is the second most important area, besides Europe, can make major impact on USD. I think we are sitting on a great position to watch the Tsunami.<G>

It is interesting to watch the trading actions of the silver stocks. I can feel the up and down trading patterns. lol
Good investing.

Another opportunity is rand gold, which has been in the correction mode as well. But, as you can see from the chart that the 50-DMA has crossed the 200-DMA. Keep your eyes on the MACD. Good luck.

What is your read about this POG/SPX chart?

I am glad to see that both POG and golds resumed their rising modes. However, I am still troubled by the lack of weakness of the general stock market. Probably all of the gold bugs are assuming that POG will go much higher (i. e. $480) before year ends. I wonder what would the force be to push it to that level if the stock market remain so strong. Weak USD alone can't do this miracle, imho.
I would expect something happen to the stock market and interest rate. None of the possibilities I can think of was good for the stock market. Therefore, I think there are two choices, one is to liquidate all of the stocks and only hold PM stocks. Two, is to hold PM stocks but still partially invested in selective commodity and energy stocks, and hope that the stock market remain stable and the interest rate stay at the same level for a very long period of time.

However, there are some middle ground scenarios can take place, such as slightly higher Fed short term rate, which will slow down the inflation and attract more foreign money to support USD. I don't feel a small increase of interest rate can affect the POG as long as we see weak USD and endless huge budget deficit and trade imbalance.
