However, were one to do this, one would have to compare the official records--reporting times, dates of reporting times, pay stubs issued for reporting times, evaluations of reporting times etc.

As I understand the matter, these records match Turnipseed's earlier comments to Te Boston Globe, not his later recollections which now appear as a vain attempt to help the president.
