It took time in Vietnam. If we are there in 5 years, we can debate it again, and see if attitudes on the ground changed. And - many in the military do NOT want to go to Iraq. I know some just called up from the Michigan guard.

If soldiers really are indoctrinated to believe that their cause is just, then there would have been universal support in Vietnam for that war. Which, of course, there wasn't.
