I don't listen to or read that stuff. Politicians rarely say anything thoughtful and I don't want to be reminded of that sorry state of affairs. The only way you get thoughtful, constructive analysis and suggestions is from sources like those two--think tanks, professors, the bureaucracy, or sometimes associations or pundits, occasionally even on SI. But even with those sources, most of what is written is just posturing and hot air. LOL... hard to disagree with any of that.
