I'm surprised it was that low.

I'm sure, for example, that more than 40% of the vote for Gore came from pro choicers.

What, really, is a voting bloc?

Those that could be called "religious right" or "evangelicals" do indeed number tens of millions. Perhaps 70 million is a good number, I wouldn't dispute it.

But that's "the religious right", not "religious right extremists", let alone "violent religious right extremists" or "religious right extremists who support expelling or killing gays and minorities from the country".
