The run up of commodity prices must result in higher product costs unless savings can be wrung out somewhere else, and that is what the U.S. has been doing by re-locating their manufacturing plants. Either they raise prices or this process will continue until all manufacturing is killed. Here is the latest from Chrysler

The good news is that we can just keep printing dollars with abandon and without any apparent consequence. The one growing export segment is the US dollar. Thanks to easy Al, who will soon be mumbling some soothing and reassuring utterances.
