A war hero who later helped bring the war to a close, you mean. Kerry will clobber Bush in any debate. Dean killed Dean, not the media. You DEan supporters conveniently forget his giant gaffes leading up to the Iowa vote, plus going negative, being arrogant, acting holier than thou and still being behind Bush by 20% in match-up polls. Meanwhile Kerry and Edwards were hitting their stride and connecting. Your words sound right out of the RNC playbook. Very dishonest. Why do you do that? Why is Bush stonewalling the 9-11 commission if he was so heroic and helpful to us during that period? You'd thni he'd want people to know about what realy happened, not no, wants to cover it up. Warned about imminent hijackings on 8-5 and did nothing. That's what CNN once reported. Where did that story go?

a former national guardsman who as Commander in Chief inspired the country to rise from ashes after 9/11 & has almost completed the task of helping Iraqi people to self-governance after guiding the military to a spectacular victory while ousting a brutal dictator? In addition to the replies that you have already received to your post, I would like to comment on the above sentence from your post. "a former national guardsman". I understand that he enrolled but did not serve his full time. He took off somewhere in Alabama while he was a guardsman. Now how many people have the connections in high places to do that. In light of this argument, we cannot claim that he was a national guardsman because guardsman have to do their duty such as the one who are in Iraq and he was nowhere near that. "inspired the country to rise from the ashes after 9/11". Is his inspiration chronicled somewhere or is it your personal opinion. I read about Robert Giuliani and the inspiration he provided. I have not seen any inspiration provided by Bush anywhere near what Guiliani did. Instead while Bush was on his month long vacation in Texas, Osama and his men were hard at work. So I see it was his failure which caused 9/11 to happen than his inspiration after the fact. "completed the task of helping Iraqi people to self-governance" Where has he done that? If he is done, then why is the US military in there in such large numbers? He has not finished that task yet and just setting a June 30 date does not mean that he will succeed in doing so then. In fact, he may not considering the recent news that Al Qaeda and others are planning to foment a civil war between the Sunnis and Shias. To effectively combat international terrorism, Bush needs international co-operation. He needs the co-ooperation of intelligence operatives from nations such as France, Germany and Russia. Not from the intelligence agencies from nations he claims as US ally such as Cameroon. He has not succeeded in getting that co-operation because of the isolation of the US. So what victory can he claim, besides continuing to suspending international flights and not only coming up empty handed on the terrorist front but also causing disruption on the commercial front due to cancellations.
