Yes, I think he was in control....in fact, I think it was his strategy to retreat back into Baghdad and fight a guerrilla war....he damn well knew he was no match head to head...any school boy could figure that out. You of course saw how the Republican Guard melted into the wood work and we've heard of huge caches of ammunitions that were so large and common that we couldn't afford the manpower to guard all of them....
