You Make a Point that the Banker Does Not Make, JWCB.

You make the point that the monetization of houses has been used to buy foreign goods. But he does not make that point--unless I missed it.

He is quite resolute that the wealth stored in fixed assets is not available--which I think is just plain not true--regardless of whether it causes inflation or not. It seems like an odd thing to say--really--and when I first read it "it seemed" kind of sharp and cool. Perhaps I misunderstand him. .Perhaps he is taking a long winded way of saying "if everyone tries to sell their house at the same time--the prices will all go down."

BTW, why are you "sorry"?
