Sure, there would be a human reaction. There was in England too, when the commons were enclosed. But what happens to this human reaction, depends on the political situation at the time. In England the tenantry got factory jobs. The felahin got jobs in Palestine too. But what was present in Palestine was the political will to use these felahin (who were themselves illiterate and non-political to start) as grist for the mill. That wasn't there in England.
