<That's one Asian city the size of Philadelphia being built a month. That's overwhelming
and unsustainable demand and stress on the world's resource supply chain.>

Russ, I travel to Vietnam regularly, the impact of people moving to the cities is profound. There is always someone willing to work cheaper, just so they can work. Many "good" jobs that paid $60 a month in 2001, now the position can be filled for $20. Saigon adds somewhere in the neighborhood of 100,000 people a month. People accept the fact that they will be unemployable after age 45-50.

The American bubble may have something to do with this, but mostly it is due to rural families having too many kids, only so many can stay home and farm, the rest must head to the cities.

There are nearly 90 million people in an area 2/3rds the size of California.

<One trainwreck I haven't even mentioned is the scarcity of water in
China.>

That's what I am working on in Vietnam..
