Were my conjecture to be correct, do you think the necessary response on the Fed would be to add even more liquidity??

Here follows more conjecture on my part, of which I would like your opinion also. It appears to me that at times the Fed (or PPT or whomever) gets off the gas at times, taps the brakes a bit, to test the icy slipperiness of the market road they are on. And that this may be one of those times.

We can only hope they have a new set of Blizzak tires on their market SUV, even as we know that someday they are do for a rollover no matter the treads they wear.
