"Do you excuse his AWOL-ness?" Can't say I care one way or another, as he is no longer president. The strategy of the republicans appears to be to point to a publicly disgraced president and call him a disagrace. I don't know how much mileage you are going to get out of that, as there are very few people in the world who are not aware that Clinton was disgraced. There may be a few indian tribes in the more remote regions of the Amazon rainforest who have not heard the news, but to everyone else it is old hat.
