<Sign of time that the rich are finding all the ways to get richer and the gov. is sponsoring it. Bush, Republicans MUST GO.>

A President has gone to war to (he has claimed) pre-empt a danger which has now been found to be non-existent. It is not there, it was never there. He has gone to war after he, his Vice President, and all the members of his Executive, including his Secretary of State who went to the United Nations, laid down "facts" which have now been found to be NOT there. More than 500 American soldiers have died and thousands have been wounded. On the Iraqi side, there are now estimates of deaths that reach as high as 50-55,000 as a combination of Iraqi army losses and civilian losses. As to the sum total of Iraqis wounded, NO numbers are known. The US military command in Iraq has since day one, flatly refused to report them. Now, the central cause, the reason WHY these massive human losses have been suffered by both sides has disappeared.

Please tell me, Oblomov, who was this war really fought for?
