Ten,

re: a new low is being reached in the partisan mud-slinging.

This is calm compared to what is coming. It's going to get real nasty, judging by the posts here about John and Jane.

re: Meanwhile, George Soros defended his multi-million dollar political donations in this way, "Well they do it, too, and in much greater amounts."

I guess the mud slinging must be coming from both sides if Soros has to "defend" himself. I don't see why you are complaining about Soros when Bush is estimated to have a $300 million (almost 1/3 of a $Billion!) war chest... already. Soros is small potatoes, and you would think he was a national patriotic hero if he was a Republican.

re: This is Bush's race to lose, and if he can start acting like a strong leader once again, the Dems won't stand a chance come November.

What? Invade Canada?

John

Jim, a new low is being reached in the partisan mud-slinging. Dems accuse Bush of being AWOL during his National Guard service, then put the burden of proof on him and his commanding officers. John Kerry pretends that he never posed the question in the first place (B.S.), while Terry McAuliffe is looking more like a whiner everyday. And the press is still trying to milk this non-issue for all its worth.

Really disappointing.....little of what you say above is the truth. Kerry is not pretending anything; he stated publicly that he doesn't care anymore; that the onus is on Bush to provide his record. Meanwhile the info Bush provided has gaps within it and is not sufficient to substantiate his claims. All McAuliffe is asking is that Bush's records be opened.....completely. Why is that whining? The WH has had 4 years to deal satisfactorily with this problem but they always come up short. Why? When there's smoke, there's usually fire.

Why do you work so hard to defend a president who more and more is looking to be very mediocre. O'Reilly has all but given up on him. That should tell you something.

Meanwhile, George Soros defended his multi-million dollar political donations in this way, "Well they do it, too, and in much greater amounts." This as he still pretends that he wants the money out of politics.

Bush has a war chest of well over $200 million, the greatest amount in US history. What other candidate comes even close? Its a disgrace and you complain about Soros.

This is Bush's race to lose, and if he can start acting like a strong leader once again, the Dems won't stand a chance come November.

Time will tell.
