Thinking in the conspiracy vein, the O&G situation almost looks intentional with the goal of 'blaming' the sputtering economy on the Oil producing nations, particulary the middle east. You know, 'we were well on the road to recovery until THIS happened'. I dunno, just thinking out loud. One has to think Bush/Al, et al have a list of 'villians' to blame for the lack of economic growth..then again, maybe I watched too many X File episodes.
