Mish, in Euroland the economy is mostly local (as in the US, but that is not what some exporters say).
Higher Euro is best for the economy, as oil prices (in Dollars) become cheaper, as well as other commodities.

OTOH, what is a "high" in Euro or "low" in Dollars? Compared to what for h*ll's sake?

Euro Effective Exchange Rate based on major trading partners today 104.7 vs. base 100 in 1999.
Unless read in the US exporting lobbies owned press, the Euro is within 5% of its "normal" exchange rate vs. trading partners. So, "high" Euro compared to what?
